Spring/Summer 2015 tryouts :

ESA believes that our youth should focus on their respective school/feeder teams during the winter months. ESA will be holding tryouts for March-July session when these seasons are over. Currently we are looking at the first week of March for our ESA tryouts. Please check back as we draw closer. ESA plans on having approximately 22 teams for our spring/summer session. Shooting with the Automatic Shooting Machine (ASM)

Focus is on repetitive shooting with proper shooting mechanics and fundamentals using the ASM.  This is an opportunity to put up a lot of shots in a short amount of time. Typically an athlete will put up 150-250 shoots per session. You choose, you may stop by and drop a 100 shot’s per session and you WILL see your shot improve!

Mike Burdett. As a third-generation Edmonds resident, Mike has cemented his reputation in Snohomish County as both a star athlete and dedicated coach. After starring at O’Dea High School in Seattle, Mike was recruited and started all four years for The University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has spent the past two decades coaching youth players in various sports in the Edmonds area, culminating in several championship seasons and college scholarships. He also was one of the founders of the Edmonds-Woodway Girls Feeder program and is a past board member. With Edmonds Sports Academy, he expands his dream of inspiring players of all ages to be the best they can be – both on the court and off. “I truly believe participation in sports has a huge impact in one’s life, whether it be building self-esteem or just getting in shape. My passion is to build a community of athletes who will benefit from participating, and enjoy success in and out of the gym. My goal is this Academy will bring athletes from all walks of life together with one common purpose. Enjoying the “Power of Play!”
