We are pleased to announce our summer basketball program. We have tried to offer many different opportunities at affordable prices. The focus for ESA this summer is core fundamentals and next level training.

Shooting with the Automatic Shooting Machine (ASM)

Focus is on repetitive shooting with proper shooting mechanics and fundamentals using the ASM.  This is an opportunity to put up a lot of shots in a short amount of time. Typically an athlete will put up 150-250 shoots per session. You choose, you may stop by and drop a 100 shot’s per session and you WILL see your shot improve!

Packages are:

500 shots/$60

700 shots/$75

1000 shots/$90

Spread your shot’s over multiple sessions!

Trainings at Church of God and drop in anytime Mondays 4:00-6:00, Saturdays 9:00am-11:00am and Sundays 2:00-4:00.

 mini camps

Mini Camps:  2 days, 2 hours a day, with focus on certain fundamentals.

Shooting camp: Correct form training, game time shots, repetition. Participants will learn proper footwork, form, follow through while shooting off dribble, coming off screens, stationary shooting.

Dates: July 9th/10th, July 23rd/24th, Aug 5th/6th, Aug 19th-20th

Times: 10:00am-noon      Location : Church of God

Ball handling camp:

Repetitive drills teaching fundamental ball handling with right and left hand. How to score off the dribble. Proper footwork, pivoting, and score with contact.

Dates: July 9th/10th, July 23rd/24th, Aug 5th/6th, Aug 19th-20th

hoop dreams

Open gyms:

Parent and kids favorite! Drop off the kids or stay and watch. Participants will be divided into equal 5on5 teams or 3on3 teams. They will play games with winners getting a point for every win. At end of the summer top point getters will receive prizes!

Dates: Starting weekend of July 18th and going through August following schedule:

Dates: Starting Friday July 18th and every Friday thru August.

5:00-7:00 Boys and girls grades 4th-6th.(current grade, not grade going into)

7:00-9:00 Boys and Girls grades 7th and 8th. (current grade not grade going into)

Cost: $10. This is drop in, payment at door.

Mike Burdett. As a third-generation Edmonds resident, Mike has cemented his reputation in Snohomish County as both a star athlete and dedicated coach. After starring at O’Dea High School in Seattle, Mike was recruited and started all four years for The University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has spent the past two decades coaching youth players in various sports in the Edmonds area, culminating in several championship seasons and college scholarships. He also was one of the founders of the Edmonds-Woodway Girls Feeder program and is a past board member. With Edmonds Sports Academy, he expands his dream of inspiring players of all ages to be the best they can be – both on the court and off. “I truly believe participation in sports has a huge impact in one’s life, whether it be building self-esteem or just getting in shape. My passion is to build a community of athletes who will benefit from participating, and enjoy success in and out of the gym. My goal is this Academy will bring athletes from all walks of life together with one common purpose. Enjoying the “Power of Play!”
